The Direct-Drive Hub Motor uses an integrated outer-rotor design and eliminates the need for a gear-reduction mechanism, allowing power to be transmitted directly to the wheel.
The motor features quiet operation, high transmission efficiency, a reliable structure, and support for regenerative breaking. Its well-designed sealing and protection system makes it suitable for urban two-wheel mobility vehicles.
It is ideal for continuous cruising on flat roads, providing a good balance between driving range and riding comfort. This makes it a mainstream drive solution for lightweight electric mobility vehicles.

1. Stator: Fixed axle, laminated silicon-steel core, three-phase enameled copper windings, and Hall position sensors with five Hall signal wires.
2. Rotor: Hub shell, permanent magnets, and sealed bearings at both ends.
3. Sealing System: End covers and sealing rings. Standard products provide IP54 protection, while customized high-end models can achieve IP67 dust and water resistance.
4. Wiring: Three heavy-gauge phase wires (U/V/W) and Hall sensor signal wires.
Battery power → Controller regulation → Stator generates a rotating magnetic field → Rotor rotates → Wheel receives driving force
The controller supplies three-phase alternating current to the stator windings, generating a rotating magnetic field. This magnetic field drives the permanent magnets on the rotor, causing the motor’s outer shell to rotate and directly drive the tire.
When the vehicle is coasting, the wheel drives the motor in reverse, allowing regenerative braking and energy recovery. This is a standard advantage of direct-drive motors, whereas geared motors with one-way clutches generally cannot recover braking energy.

A: Compared with conventional transmission systems, direct-drive hub motors require relatively little
maintenance.
Recommended routine maintenance includes:
1. Regularly inspect the motor cables and electrical connections.
2. Avoid prolonged use of high-pressure water around the motor connectors.
3. Keep the hub surface clean.
4. Check for any unusual noise or vibration.
