This Four-Wheel-Drive Motor for Off-Road Vehicles is developed specifically for high-end electric off-road vehicles, ATV/UTV all-terrain vehicles, mountain cross-country vehicles, off-road racing vehicles, and outdoor adventure utility vehicles! Adopting a four-wheel independent motor drive architecture, it eliminates the limitations of traditional single-/dual-drive power systems.
Relying on an intelligent electronic 4WD system, it enables independent torque adjustment for each wheel and real-time anti-slip and recovery functions. It provides stable driving performance across muddy roads, sand, steep slopes, rocky terrain, and other complex environments, making it a high-end drive assembly for professional off-road applications.
Unlike two-wheel-drive and ordinary dual-drive vehicles, this 4WD motor adopts an independent power output layout for all four wheels. The front and rear wheels are completely decoupled, without the restrictions of mechanical hard connections.
Each of the four wheels provides power independently without interfering with one another, completely solving the problems of wheel slip in two-wheel-drive systems, uneven power distribution in dual-drive systems, and weak recovery capability on extreme terrain.
It provides powerful acceleration, extreme climbing capability, and excellent performance across complex terrain, matching the performance of high-end mechanical 4WD systems.
Equipped with a dedicated intelligent 4WD electronic control system and high-precision sensors, it can identify wheel slip, wheel suspension, and vehicle entrapment conditions within milliseconds. It dynamically distributes torque to all four wheels in real time, automatically increasing power to wheels with traction while limiting the free spinning of slipping wheels, achieving precise 0–100% power adjustment for each wheel.
Whether driving through sand, mud, ice, snow, or wet and slippery roads, no manual intervention is required. The system automatically and quickly assists the vehicle in recovering from difficult conditions, with control precision far exceeding that of traditional mechanical 4WD systems.
Four high-specification dedicated off-road motors work together and are equipped with high-strength NdFeB permanent magnets and high-density pure copper windings, significantly increasing overall power reserves.
Continuous high torque output at low speeds makes it easy to handle extreme 40° slopes, continuous mountain roads, and rough, rocky terrain. Under heavy-duty off-road conditions, there is no engine bogging, power weakening, or wheel slipping during climbing. It is perfectly suited for heavy off-road driving, outdoor cross-country applications, and heavy-load operations.
Each motor adopts a reinforced one-piece die-cast aluminum alloy housing with resistance to pressure, impact, and deformation. The internal stator, rotor, and wiring are professionally reinforced and adjusted for shock resistance.
Special optimization has been carried out for high-frequency off-road bumps, landing impacts, gravel impacts, and continuous vibration conditions, effectively preventing demagnetization of the magnets, loose wiring, and structural wear caused by vibration, ensuring stable and trouble-free operation during long-term high-intensity off-road use.
It adopts a multi-layer composite sealing process and high-pressure cable waterproof structure, with reinforced sealing rings on the end covers and waterproof treatment of the wiring harness interfaces. The protection level is far beyond that of ordinary mobility motors.
It can easily handle heavy rain, shallow-water crossings, muddy immersion, sandstorms, snowstorms, and other harsh conditions, effectively preventing moisture and short circuits in the internal windings and Hall components, as well as dust ingress and operational failures. It is suitable for outdoor off-road operations in all weather conditions.
It eliminates the mechanical losses associated with traditional mechanical 4WD transfer cases and drive shafts. Pure electric direct drive provides higher transmission efficiency and extremely low power loss. The 4WD system intelligently distributes power according to demand: it saves energy under light-load conditions on flat roads and provides full power output under heavy loads and climbing conditions, eliminating unnecessary energy consumption.
Compared with ordinary mechanical 4WD systems, driving range can be increased by 15%–25% with the same battery capacity, providing more stable range for long-distance outdoor travel and frequent off-road use.
With high-precision magnetic circuit optimization, the motor uses pure electromagnetic non-contact drive, resulting in low vibration and low noise during operation. It provides stable performance without floating during high-speed acceleration and smooth, controllable operation during low-speed climbing.
Power output is linear and refined, meeting the requirements of intense off-road recovery and extreme climbing while also being suitable for smooth daily driving and quiet track racing, balancing off-road performance with driving comfort.
Compatible with the 4WD mounting positions of 99% of electric off-road vehicles and ATV/UTV all-terrain vehicles on the market. With standard shaft diameters and mounting hole positions, it can be upgraded and replaced without modifying the vehicle frame.

1. Before installation, the vehicle's main power supply must be disconnected. Live wiring is strictly prohibited to avoid short-circuiting and damaging the motor Hall sensors and 4WD controller assembly.
2. All four 4WD motors must have exactly the same specifications. Mixing different power ratings, voltages, or new and old motors is prohibited to prevent power imbalance, deviation, and operational problems.
3. A dedicated 4WD electronic differential controller must be used. Ordinary 2WD and dual-drive controllers cannot achieve independent four-wheel torque distribution.
4. The phase wires and Hall wires of all four wheels must be connected symmetrically according to the color codes. After wiring, ensure proper waterproof protection to prevent outdoor water and mud from entering the connectors and causing failures.
5. After installation, the four-wheel shafts must be centered and securely fixed. Tighten the anti-loosening nuts and correct the wheel assembly balance to prevent loosening and vibration during off-road driving.
6. First perform a low-speed, no-load test of steering, acceleration, and torque switching. Only after confirming that there is no abnormal noise, no deviation, and normal heat generation should heavy-load off-road driving, water crossings, and climbing be performed.
7. The system supports normal rain, water-crossing, and muddy conditions. Prolonged deep-water immersion and direct high-pressure water spraying at the sealing surfaces are prohibited. After water crossings, promptly inspect the sealing and wiring conditions.
A: Dual-drive systems only power two wheels, making them prone to slipping and having poor recovery capability on extreme terrain. Traditional mechanical 4WD systems are heavy, have slower response, high losses, and complicated maintenance.
Electric 4WD uses four-wheel independent drive and millisecond-level intelligent torque distribution, with no mechanical transmission losses, faster response, more precise control, and stronger recovery capability. It also requires less maintenance and is lightweight, combining power, range, and stability, making it an optimal solution for modern professional off-road applications.
A: They must be used as a complete set of the same model! The 4WD system has extremely high requirements for motor parameter consistency. Replacing only one motor or mixing different parameters can cause power imbalance among the four wheels, resulting in serious vehicle deviation, jerking during turns, tire wear, unstable power delivery, and significantly increased power consumption, seriously affecting off-road safety and motor lifespan.
A: No! 2WD and ordinary dual-drive controllers do not have four-wheel torque distribution or electronic differential adjustment functions and cannot support coordinated 4WD operation.
A dedicated intelligent 4WD electronic differential controller must be used to achieve synchronized straight-line driving, differential turning, wheel-slip locking, dynamic recovery, and other core off-road functions.
A: No. Under light-load conditions on flat roads, the system intelligently reduces power consumption, and energy consumption is basically the same as dual drive. Under heavy loads, climbing, and recovery conditions, it has significant advantages.
The four wheels share the load evenly, resulting in lower load, less heat, and lower losses for each motor. Compared with the high-loss operation of dual-drive systems under heavy loads, the driving range is more stable and energy consumption is lower.
A: Light off-road driving and daily transportation: four 1500W motors as the standard configuration; normal mountain cross-country driving, sandy beaches, and muddy roads: four 2000W motors; professional track racing, heavy-duty off-road, fully loaded adventure applications, and frequent steep-slope climbing: four 3000W–4000W motors. The 72V high-voltage version provides stronger acceleration and greater power reserves.
A: No. Equipped with an intelligent electronic differential algorithm, the system automatically adjusts the speed and torque of the inner and outer wheels during turning, simulating the smooth operation of a mechanical differential and completely solving the dragging, jerking, and tire-wear problems of ordinary 4WD systems during turning. Steering is precise and smooth, and the driving experience is far superior to ordinary mechanical 4WD.
A: This motor features off-road-grade sealed protection and a multi-layer waterproof and dustproof structure. It can withstand heavy rain, splashing water, mud, sand, low temperatures, and other harsh conditions for stable all-weather operation. However, prolonged deep-water immersion and direct high-pressure water spraying at the sealing surfaces are prohibited. Damage caused by improper use is not covered by the warranty.
A: They feature a maintenance-free design! There are no gears, chains, drive shafts, or mechanical differential structures, so there is no need to change oil or adjust transmission components. Daily maintenance only requires checking the fastening condition of the shafts, wiring wear, and waterproof condition of the connectors. The failure rate is extremely low even under long-term high-intensity off-road use.
A: Most ATVs and complete electric off-road vehicles can be upgraded without modification. Simply replace the complete set of 4WD motors and the dedicated 4WD controller. There is no need to cut or modify the vehicle frame. It has a low conversion cost and significantly improves performance, making it an ideal upgrade solution for older off-road vehicles.
A: Electric 4WD provides more flexible recovery capability across urban roads, mountains, mud, sand, and other terrains! Electric 4WD responds within milliseconds. As soon as wheel slip occurs, the system immediately locks and redistributes power, without the mechanical delay of traditional systems. Mechanical 4WD has slower response and a heavier structure. For daily hard-core cross-country driving and light professional racing, electric 4WD provides superior terrain capability, handling, and stability.
